:clover:well,tomorrow i will be cracking on with my z. i'm absolutely dreddin it ,but at the same time excited that she's having the transplant. 1st job will be rear subframe swap/hicas delete.which should be pretty straight forward. then front sub frame with engine for as many deletes as poss! so as long as she doesn't fall apart ,i'll be a few steps closer to the next list of to do's. oh s***t nearly forgot about the gearbox .yes conversion also from auto.

 

question. can anyone advise on the deletes for engine. so far i know of , egr, water bypass .......any other to do while lump out?

The main deletes are egr, Plenum water bypass as you mentioned but you could also delete the PRVR (pass wing area) the AIV if you have it, and the Carbon Canister (behind N/S IC)

 

You can also remove all the old HICAS piping running from the solenoid to the rear rack. You will need to join the two top pipes from the solenoid together, unless you go for an NA Pas pot and pump. If you are taking out the A/C then you can also remove all the piping and rad but leave the electric fan as that's your emergency overheating backup.

 

With the lump out I'd also recommend upgrading your steering rack bushes as it's a pig of a job to do when the engines in.

yes i'm doin the na pas pump but unfortunately when i broke other z,forgot the pas pot off it! ???!!!!! will i be able to do rest and bodge pas pot till later date?

Good luck Lee, cant believe you forgot the PAS pot lol. Let me guess - you also forgot the PAS pump mounting bracket too... you need that to fit the pump.

 

My TT has deleted HICAS but I still have the TT pot, so there must be a way to do it?

 

I'll be doing the NA rear swap on mine soon too :yes:
