Looks great. I would love to do somthing like that. £250?? what could you get for that

Alot when you are involved in the motor trade ;)

Can you help others out if need be? Looks like fun.

In what way do you mean help others out?

Finding a half decent motor for the money.

My girlfriend and a couple of her mates are signed up to do the Scally Rally in June, which looks basically the same but £100 cars. If I get the Z running by then i'll be following with a tool kit just in case....

I like the look of this.. the missus works for a local charity so i might even be able to swing it with her as a fund raising event?

My mate and I have just registered, think we bagged the last space. Good times :-)

Quality mate guess I will see you there then :D

You'll have great fun mate

I did the Sucata Run in 2010. Went out there in a 1990 Alfa Romeo 164 painted up in Blues Brothers style.....it made the journey just fine despite a screaming water pump and knackered tracking. Managed to write that off in Portugal (slight collision with another teams VW Golf) and then came back in a 1991 Mercedes 190 painted in Gulf Racing colours that another team were just going to abandon out there.

We stopped on in Portugal for a couple of weeks before we drove back, was probably one of the best holidays ever :)

You'll have a great time. Don't forget to post your justgiving link (assuming it's for charity)

:punk: Just waiting on confirmation. Is it wrong to be a tad excited?! The payment went through this morning so should be all good :punk:

You'll have to keep your eye out for another suitable banger. I can't wait to start the 'bangerisation' lol

Daffy is your team called 'Treble Deeski'? If it is then you are in! I'm Dean Barrington on there btw, we havent got a team name yet.

Yep, that's us  Random team name or what?? Thanks for starting the thread, going to be awesome. If nobody buys my slicky i'll sell it to my mate for 250 notes.

And I await the "that's all it's worth" comments :scooter:

Do you think there is enough in the club funds to allow for a small sponsorship?

UPDATE: Still havent decided on a car as yet, my team is up to five so we are looking more along the lines of a 7 seater now or a massive 5 seater. We are going to fly back from Barca on tuesday the 5th and leave whatever car we have bought there! What are your plans Daffy

I did the barcelona bangers in 2010. Bought an old Renault 5 1.4 for £10. Started in Calais to Leon to Nice to Barcelona, with a little trip to Monacco thrown in, and it was the weekend after the grand prix so bonus! We took the overnight ferry back to Portsmouth. I'll upload the pics i took :)

We have a 3rd member now, and countless requests from others wanting to come  We are going to stay as a 3 man though as it means we have plenty of room for the Wonderbra cutout from one of our sponsors!!!

We are raising money for the neuroscience ward at John Radcliffe hospital. Both my Mum and one of my team mates are still here because of the great work they do there :yinyang:

Our theme will be 'Brainiac' which I think is genius. And after our initial lunch meeting yesterday to discuss plans (which ended at about 2 this morning!!) we are thinking Volvo estate. And we are going to learn to spray too.How hard can it be??

Really looking forward to it, and we will probably drive back. Although getting there, chilling for a couple of days and then flying back sounds good too. Guess it depends on the car :scooter:
