do you know these cars from head to toe? cos i've just done the clocks and when i removed the column under panel, the wires looked ....well....dint look good ! not tidy at all. stuff like that worries me.!!

I had a manual conversion done and the ato ecu left in

It then stood for a while whilst I sirted some problems including a blown Turbo

After the new engine was in it developed a peculiar misfire and Zedworld investigated. They tries changing the ECU and Jeff commented that the auto ECU was far more agressive in power delivery than the manual he tried and we put that down to the ECU still thinking it was in Kickdown mode when the the car was booted

Maybe what makes mine so effing quick !

We found Roses ran worse on the manual than the auto when we first changed it, but after a few drives it seemed to sort itself out and worked much better. I don't really have an opinion on which was better tbh. I upgraded mine from a Manual to a Mines ECU, which made a massive difference.

Unless it was a mistake and was meaning the engine ecu, you said gearbox ecu, there is no ecu for the manual gearbox, as far as the engine ecu no need to change it, just make sure you connect the neutral switch to make timing settings easier.

]did you get some new wheels alex? if so, whats the story with your old ones. have you got someone in line for them?

No mate, they're staying as Winter Wheels. I still really like them, plus gives us the ability to refurb one set while running on the other, etc. :D
