He hasn't said if he has solved it yet or not, so I'm still on 4.3

removed reference to illegal program

the untethered jail break works fine matey, I've been running it since it was released, a few repositories need to be updated though but that should not take that long. so go for it you want too.

Hellraiser, jailing breaking isn't illegal, but the program you mentioned is, as all it does is allow you to get Apps from the app store for free via cracked versions and we can not support the distribution of copyrighted material thats been hacked.

It will be illegal when Apple finally get the law suit through the courts, but you said you don't care about Apple law suits didn't you? :D

Your a bit behind the times, the lawsuit has already happened, jailbreaking at the present moment isn't illegal, not even in America where they are pretty damn tight on such stuff. the UK have looked at what the US have done and will no doubt rule the same.

Hellraiser, jailing breaking is for the added stuff you can do with your device other than installing a program to install illegal apps, cydia has some fine legal apps and its worth jailbreaking just for that, SBsettings, OpenSSH, imastersystem to name but a few.

I'm not behind the times, they're still trying to push it through, which eventually of course they will manage to do, they just need to find the right judge to bribe. The dude getting sent to prison for hacking his XBox set a precedent and companies like Apple (Yes they're not the only ones) are now going at it again. I always thought capitalism was about choice and competition.....weird.
