Given 2 hours ago you thought an intercooler cooled exhaust gas i figured it was rather safe to assume you didn't know much about cars. That doesn't mean i think you are stupid or anything for not knowing that as we all had to start somewhere. This also doesn't excuse replies like the one you have just given.

Have just found out, it seems an S13 is only a 180sx in the UK, google images seems to think the cefiro is an S13 for some ODD reason :confused: Perhaps in Japan it is?

In the UK a 180sx WAS a Silvia, the Cefiro is a completely different line of cars, so I REALLY don't understand the link, I'd never come across it before this thread.

The 180sx you posted is the type X model, 95-97 from memory more often referred to as a 200sx due to being SR20 powered as opposed to factory CA18 in the older models.

Yeap still an s13 chassis as such, in the way the 350z and 350gt skyline share the same chassis.

 

The silvias have many names in different places etc and are easily confused.

Ok this is interesting. The S13 Silvia (In Japan, as I don't believe the S13 Silvia existed here) looks just like a 2 door cefiro, which is odd, because they were both made around the same time and both donned the S13 tag, but are far from the same car.

 

What is even more odd, is that the S14 Silvia, looks like a natural progression from the 180sx (Known in England as an S13 180sx/200sx) and in England, it was exactly that. The S14 in England wasn't known as the Silvia, just as the 300zx wasn't known as the fairlady. The S15 was known as a silvia here, just as I believe 350Zs are known as fairladys here? Very odd indeed.

 

The 180sx here came with a factory CA18, not the SR20, perhaps that's an import difference? The S14 and S14a always came with the SR20 here. You learn something new every day. I btw had NO IDEA what a Sil180 was, lol.

as for the turbo thing i thought that the exhaust gasses were recycled..cooled then fed back through the intake..

anyway this has gotten way off topic hot girls n nice cars

This is just like Jiff and Ciff. In England it's always been Jiff, until a few years ago they called it Ciff for some unknown reason, in NZ however, it's always been known as Ciff? Pointless. Just like the Marathon bar becoming the Snickers, which it always had been elsewhere in the world, annoying!!!!!! btw ZedZilla, TimTams are called Penguins here, just to digress even further from the topic, and they are a little smaller :D

Thats fine i understand your post exactly, i was just making a comment on it as you said they were rare, so thought i would mention they didn't come factory as that, and a bit of a history lesson.
