The other one looked ok but was swopped for a supra.

Trust me. Buy s13 for £800, buy new turbo, Bigger injector. Intercoller, maf, exhaust and remap, rip all interior out and you will get more than 350bhp per tone!!! And all this pleasure will cost you £300 you will definitely have way more fun then is gtr. Gtr is just 4wd heavy bucket...

The R32 is a truly discusting looking car. the back end is soooooo dated and i hate the dash as well.

As Roobarb said, if you wanna go as fast as possible for 5k, you'll have to buy a bike. 1000 quid buys you enough machine to out strip any 50k modded jap street fighter. You could spend the other 4 grand on some nice leathers and a coffin..

 

Reckon my next toy will be a bike-powered caterham copy. Was looking a few weeks ago and 8k buys a pretty shit-hot outfit. OK, top speed is pretty pathetic (circa 120-130mph) but the acceleration and roadholding are where it's really at. The thing is though, when your arse is 2 inches off the ground and you're catching flies in your teeth, it feels twice as quick as it actually is. Just a thought.

completly agree. 3.5K - 5k will get you a very nice 08,09,gsxr1000.

 

2k will get you a 02 -03 R1.both these bikes will anihalate anything you come across pretty much.

 

no traffic,cheap tax & ins. 20 to fill the tank.. but you will die if you do not build a healthy respect for it lol

Yeah, it really is. Mine was 450 and I did a 3.4 0-60 at Silverstone. With GTRs it's not the BHP, it's the INSANE amount of torque from that straight 6 twin turbo motor, combined with the relatively light R32 Chassis.

 

Haha the nissan vh41de i'm putting in my Z produces more torque n/a bog stock @1500 rpm than an rb26dett does peak torque.

 

In saying that a mate has a 560kw @ wheels r32gtr and that thing pulls like a $2 hooker.

ive got a seven type thing ive been building for years. all up weight will be less than 500kg and power will be over 300bhp. that quick enough

It's all about weight with the lotus 7 type cars. Looked heavily into building one and they all said anything over 350hp is just undriveable, really need a 1.6-2.0 turbo or supercharged full alloy inline 4.

 

Personally i would go with a 3s-gte toyota as you can bolt the altezza 6 speed box straight on, the nissan sr20det is also a nice option.

UK models:
