Noise from Brakes

Ok read the other post. Had clicking calipers when applying brakes. Changed pads, copper greased and cleaned shims. Seemed ok at first now creaking and clunking noise. Have had Energy Suspension front tie bushes done about 3 months ago but the noise is really peeving me off. Any suggestions please...thanks

Sounds like the pivot bolts need tightening to me - they have to be INCREDIBLY tight!!!! Either that or the top link is worn on your front suspension...

Have tried tightening them...can't torque em up anymore without fear of snapping the bolt..still the noise. But I did put too mucvh copper ease on pads..could that be the problem?

Stuart, did you take the flash bur off the side of the pads before fitting? it could be the actual pads catching in the caliper if a bit tight, have seen this many times on non Nissan pads.

If it is any good to you have a few guys in Saturday for a rolling road session and a guy from by you for a timing belt if you can make it I can take out a few minutes to look for you, at least show you what to do or whatever.

Hey Jeff..if you mean that little clip thing that fits on the side of the pad/squeel shims I have put it back on...re-cleaned calipers and pads and shims, applied a little copper ease..refitted that clip thingy too then slotted them home..it's just the same..if not worse...but the clip thingies were bent...???
