As per the title, the spec is perfect, leather, manual, etc but the sellers feedback is a big big worry for a prospective buyer, littered with unhappy folk.

That said if this is straight enough, would be a good buy for just over 2 big ones.

That's way way better for me, when were you going to look at it?

I was going to have a look today at around 2pm, although I may possibly have to postpone until Monday as it turns out my insurance company isn't open Saturdays!!

Hi People, need to clarify some points about this car, I bought it a month ago off ebay, the guy had advertised as spares or repairs as it was in dry storage for 5 years and could'nt keep it due to him moving house. There was nothing wrong with it apart from interior panels needed re trimming. The owner thought that the turbos needed replacing as it was running a liitle low on power, however, I only bought the car as I was interested in the wheels and the suspension coilovers!

When I got the car home I realised the boost pipe had a split in it so I replaced it and gave the car a good service, the car ran perfect. The following day I did a seperate deal with Jeff from Zedworld with this car for another. (which everyone here was aware of on this forum)

Jeff and Jamie decided they wanted to break the car as people were interested in various parts, I then decided the following day to buy the car back from Jeff as it was to good to break and it would have been a great shame for such rare car!

I then had the car MOT'D and sold it on ebay for £2000

All the above can be backed up by management of Zedworld

Sorry about all this I have just been threatened by txt from the guy who bought the car off me saying I've sold him a misrepresented car!

hes threatening you with what? physical violence? tell him to bugger off, he looses all rights the moment he does that, ring the local plod and make them aware with his name and address, at least it will be on record then, keep what ever texts / Emails you have.

Even if its not violence, the only time you would of sold a misrepresented car would be if you are in the car trade.

The fact hes gone on to stick it on ebay with out even mentioning the gear box or this strange misfire, then surely he is now misrepresenting the car and you have every right to turn around and tell him again to bugger off, as he has discribed it as "Mechanically and structurally sound".

Guy would of known before buying it if it was practical or not considering he'd "owned one before" he was just in it for a quick buck from what i can see.

Just to let you know what I am thinking, I may have a look at it on Sunday if I can for you, (don't hold me to it though as it's dependent on a few things) if you don't mind and then report back, tell the seller by all means that someone more local will have a look as it is a long way for you.

I would worry about the price, or scrimp on a few hundred quid as the spec is to die for and these come up rarely.

I will post my number for a few mins and then edit out, take it down and call me if you wish, , Andy.

Many thanks Andy, you can edit the post now.

I think I'm going to take a look at it today, even if it is slightly overpriced, as you say, these don't come up often. If this changes, I will get in touch, but i'm very grateful for your help and this has only strengthened my will to join such a friendly and helpful community.

ive removed the number for you.

Thanks Ian.

And Dan, have a blooming good look at it, drive it thoroughly on all kinds of roads and get there before it goes dark, best of luck

take it for a test drive, make sure it doesnt over heat, check for leaks under it, make sure the rear sills are good with no obvious sign of rust, regardless of whats been said. check all electrics work, make sure it doesnt smoke either on boost or off, or when coming off, or even on idle. condensation to start with is the norm so don't worry about that.

Check to see if there is a misfire, or gearbox whine. any defect ask for money off.

I can only presume Ifty that there was an Ebay advert and some points/faults you did or didn't put in there is being picked up upon.

A car or any item on ebay is open to inspection all the time bidding is taking place, not having seen the car £2000 does not seem expensive, and even having won the auction or a buy it now whatever it was, on collection/test drive/inspection if it is not as described then the buyer is within his/her rights to not hand over the wad. In this case your buyer still did.

There are then channels on ebay to go through to cancel the transaction which enables the seller to retrieve the selling fees :thumbup1:

I think think his just trying to play with my good nature as I gave him a refund of £150 as a good will jestur and he then probably assumed i'll give him back a little more!! as far as am concerned now he can jog on!!

Well, just got back from viewing the car and 350 miles and a tank of petrol later and I am not happy!!

The car ran ok but sounded like it was crunching going into second. The seller gave it all of about 2 miles to warm up before showing me how "sideways" it can go (not something i'd really like to be shown on a test drive, it does nothing for my confidence that the car has not been thrashed!).

Bodywork wise it's very tatty, the pictures make it look much better than it is. Front chin spoiler is all split and cracked, nose has bad lacquer peel, where the roof trim has been removed it has taken the paint off, the roof needs a respray, the boot needs a respray, the rear spoiler needs a respray. The interior looked very tatty and looked to have covered a lot more than the stated mileage.

Maybe someone else could have done something with it, but it's not for me and needs far too much doing.

Sorry to hear it Dan. As you say someone else might be fine with those issues but each to their own. Still reckon its very cheap for what it is but I'd certainly be put off by someone showing me how it goes sideways.
