does anyone think it would be poss to wire the dash lights into the sidelight circuit as have taken the little white box off to cure the wiper problem so have no lighys at the mo are there any auto electricians out there

The little white box ( TCU= time control unit) also controls the light dimming for the dash, i would get hold of another TCU and get your intermittent wipers working again.. Most likely a burnt out track in the TCU, which is not uncommon, but most likely the root of your recent problems.

have changed the tcu for one i had surely cant be 2 the same or is something else causing the tcu to fail

sometimes the fault is intermittant and the wipers will stop
