Hi,

I have xenon lights that I have trouble with. On the driver side the xenon light will not work. It's fine on the passenger side. I have tried to swap the bulb and that works. Also tried another ballast on both side. It works on the passenger side but not the driver side. Checked volts in to the ballast and it's the same on both sides.

I'm at a loss here. Anyone have an idea what it could be

Headlight fuse or relay under the bonnet passenger side, they are marked clearly on top of the plastic cover.

hmm... i've checked the fuse but not the relay. I'll check that tomorrow. Thanks :)

I thought there were two fuses.... one for each side....

checked the fuses and the relay in the engine bay. Everything is fine.

I don't get it, because there is 12v. to the xenon box on both sides. It works if I swap the bulb and box to the other side???:headvswal

My guess is you have a bad connection in there somewhere, when the current draw is great enough then it arcs out and the current drops to nothing. You may be able to prove this with a multimeter when the bulb is not working.

I'd suggest you remove/clean and or replace all the related connections you can find, including the earths, which are the most likely culprits.

It's always the earths, in the same way it's always a bloody Audi! If it's not the earth it's a crossed wire, like if it's not an Audi it's a BMW ;)

Just like it's always the "network" and if it's not the network then it's the "firewall" on the network.
