As the title suggests.

I have been trying all day to undo the bl**dy thing but to no avail.:taz::taz:

All I want to do at the moment is add some Molyslip additive so as to try and ease gear selections.

Are they fitted with some kind of sealant once refilled or something?

I can not see me ever being able to budge the thing!:hammer:

I think there would be a possibility of adding some heat,

I might be able to get a small blow lamp in the limited space available.

I am just a bit worried of cooking something. Everything is so cramped,

what with sensors, wires and pipe work etc'

Frustrating or what!!!

What type of tool you using? I normally use a 1/2inch ratchet that has an extendable handle and they always come undone, then thats on a two post ramp standing up.

See what you meen Jeff,

I also am using a 1/2 inch ratchet but with limited ground clearance, (on axle stands):cowboy:

I am unable to get any real purchase on the thing, not to mention being a feeble bu**er.:wheelchair:

Will have to have a re think.:taz:

You are going the right way arn't you? It's easy to get confused while lying on your back under the car, well it is to me anyway. lol

Can't really suggest anything else as I did mine as Jeff said.

I know what you mean Steams,

I had to double check myself.:whistling:

Might have to ask a local garage to see if they can just crack it for me.:taz:

Mine was pretty well stuck so I got a 2 foot long, half inch square drive breaker bar on it, wasn't pleasant but it came out with a bit of persuasion and further damage to my poor back :( . Perhaps a local garage with a pit could be persuaded to let you use the facilities for 10 minutes??

Cheers

Judging from my first attempts I can't see any other option but to ask at my local garage,

As you and Jeff have said, looks like access and leverage is the way forward.

ask them to just crack it for you, if someone popped over to me and asked me, and I had 5 minutes, I'd do it, then you can take it home and undo it fully....
