You want a 'proper' contact adhesive - one that's locked away in the DIY store! I've used evo stick for doing bits and pieces before, but not a dash - which will get hammered by the sun I guess! May be worth contacting a re-trimming supplies place and seeing if they've got any suggestions?

ECO Stik - Instant contact adhesive - Solvent version.

(comes in a can, you brush it on)

Make sure its the Solvent version, It will be locked away in safe or under tills, the non-solvent version is crap.

Will this be ok if the dash is left in the sun all day? seen plenty of sparay on glue, but the guy i got the leather from said i need to get a glue that will withstand the heat from being in the sun
