a little warning for anybody planning to fit winter tyres- prices are rising! Was looking for a set for my fiesta. Found some at a decent price, then checked other sites. When I went back to the original ones they had gone up by a tenner!

My other half has a BMW. When it snowed last year, he couldn't get past the 1st speed bump and took an hour to get it back onto the drive. He fitted snow tyres and promptly took it up the steepest hill in Manchester centre!! Amazing difference. Would be worth it if your zed is a daily driver and the weather is bad enough but they ain't cheap and getting more expensive every day. I'm only doing it because my fiesta needs 2 front tyres anyway

took an hour to get it back onto the drive.

I had to leave mine on the main road for 3 days! I couldnt even get into my street! :surrender: I hope its not as bad this year

I doubt anyone from this house is going anywhere if it snows, we have 3 Z's in the house and nothing else to drive, we have two ways out of our little dirt track, one is tarmac, but full of speed bumps and canyons, yes I said canyons, that none of our Z's could pass, the other is flat-ish, but has quite a steep incline at the end onto the main road. It can't be ploughed, because it's a loose surface and we live in the sticks anyway, so it's unlikely our main road will even get ploughed quickly. Lucky I work from home :D
