My little zed is nearly 20 years old now, I would like to improve the handling and I guess the suspension is where I should start. I do not want to have the car set up for track days etc as she is my daily run about (Summer only) so where would I best and economically spend my hard earned cash?

Thanks.

Larger alloys generally help with a good set of tyres. Coilovers will stiffen up the car during cornering.

i would say some poly bushes and uprated anti roll bars, This way it will prevent body roll but you will still have the comfort of you stock springs and shocks :)

Ahh that sounds about right, thank you. I will look into that. Is there a simple diagrame where I can see where these bushes and anti role bar are located?

The anti roll bar links are just behind the brake discs, just a simple metal (sometimes plastic in fords + vauxhall) with two ball joints on either end.

Theres lots of bushes though, but I think he's referring to the lower suspension arm bush?

Thanks, just spoken with jeff, I will take car to him at weekend, he said he will look it over for me....i'll probably mess it up anyway...lol

Barry you dont need to worry about the wheels, just sort out all the oem arms and bits and go for adjustable stuff. Next time your over at mine, have a look under mine. you will see what i mean.

I would get the standard suspension freshened up before you go changing anything. Make sure everything is doing what it's supposed to. If it doesn't feel firm enough then, make some changes. I have stock suspension on my car and body roll is definitely not a problem.
