I was driving along the other day when i spotted this little oik in a nova moving at quite a pace towards me so I dropped into third and popped the throttle down. As the car was boosting, at between 4000 and 4500 revs, the engine cut out briefly until i eased of the throttle!

 

At this point he overtook me - this cannot happen again!

 

Any ideas - greatly appreciated!

I had identical behaviour (same RPM and cutout untul easing back on throttle) until I cleaned the injector connectors and the CAS connector. CAS is now also held in place by a rather tatty combination of cable ties (but it works!!!!)

Is it an import with a speed convertor?

Or could be a dodgy speed sensor.

Mine did that all the time when both items were playing up.
