Being sold as spares or repairs - it blew a water hose and the engine temp went up to 3/4 of the way up (didn't hit the red, the needle was half way between centre and the top) and when I put the heaters on hot and full the temp went back to normal. Also made a rattling noise like a diesel at certain revs, I drove it home about 3 miles very slowly and the next day tried to put water in it and it just leaked out the bottom somewhere. I'm done with it - being sold for spares or repairs

Thats gone over half way fella and bottom end is fooked. if your willing to replace the engine rest of the car seems in good nick. I was keeping an eye on that myself.

I would give Jeff a call at zedworld and see what info he has on it. If he did some work on it he will have a log detailing all the work carried out and any advisories.

 

I wouldnt have thought it will be anything major and at the price its at at the minute, a bargain to be had.

Rattling noise can also be vvt springs at certain revs, but normally if its vvt springs the rattle would go at about 3.5k revs when the valve timing comes into play.

Yeah that is ends by the sound of it, new engine or get it on Jimmers waiting list. But car looks nice and could be a bargain even by the time you take that into account.
