P.C. Help needed.........again...

Got a wee problem with the pc, or rather Windows if anybody can help ?

PC spec is Intel core 2 Quad, running Windows 7. PC is only 4 months old.

Send a lot of pics to my daughter, who lives and works in China, but have developed a problem with Skydrive.

When I open Hotmail, and try to attach pics using Silverlight/Sydrive, it then lets me pick my pictures to attach to the email. Heres where the problem starts.

The pictures wont load ?? Wee bar appears under the pictures, turning green as they attempt to upload, but the error message appears !! It always says the same thing; Your pictures wont upload as you have temporarily lost your internet connection, please try to upload again.

I know I havent lost the t`internet connection as I am talking to my daughter in a video chat through Skype and its fine !!!

I have uninstalled Silverlight, Windows Live and Hotmail, and then re-installed everything from the Windows site, Disk clean, defrag, Virus scan etc on my machine and all is ok !!

Still doing the same thing ?

I have deleted a few of the previous Albums stored on Skydrive and am well below my limit and kinda stuck as what else to try ?? Any suggestions ??

could it be anything to do with your firewall? Try disabling it while you try an upload

have you tried using Photobucket or another service?

and like vijay said check your firewall to make sure silverlight isn't blocked.

do you have another pc you could test with.

Vijay,

Tried to upload the pics with the firewall turned off, still the same !!

Medallion Man,

Plugged the camera into the wives laptop, uploaded the pics to her laptop and they sent no problems !! She is running XP.

Wish I had hair, I would pull it out !!:whistling:

Cheers Vijay !! :cool2::cool2:

Took it back three weeks and it sent the pics first time !!

So, as I havent added any new software in that time, is it possible that an automatic update from Microsoft or AVG could have caused this you reckon ?

Many thanks mate. Will switch it off now and see if it still works in the morning ? lol.

Alan...........
