Wanting to change the Mini for something else, was going to go for an E46 M3 but the other half doesn't like them :( Running a highly modded Z32 means I do need to have her 'blessing' for the family car..

Now looking at classic mustangs so I can scratch the muscle car itch, and I'm onto a winner as classic muscle cars are popular with the wife! Anyone know much about them?

Looking at 65-70 Mustang, or maybe early shape camaro's. Challengers etc are nice but far too big. I like the styling and I want a big rumbly v8

Thoughts?

figured, but at least I doubt they'll loose much money now, just maintenance.

Pics are welcome, kind of the point ;) also not too worried about being practical, as long as it's got a boot and some small seats in the rear - I have a Mini as the family car at the moment (granted it's a clubman)

Bullnose Trans Am... 1971-1973.

this shape!!

theres a black one on ebay at the mo, £5995.

Big fan of the early Camaro's and Mustang's.

The Trans Am is an embarrassment in the UK though.

I'd be happy to spend up to 30k for the right thing, but wouldn't be wanting to worry about serious maintenance at that level ie rust!

Would prefer to spend less and still get something interesting, but can't really be a project either, one of those is enough.

has to be the general lee???

I reckon they're too big for Uk roads

Sweet baby Jesus. Did I read that right?

Muscle car = family car?

Think i've been wan*ing too much

You are spoilt for choice at that budget.

Import one, you will get a better deal.

Early Cam`s, Birds and Mopar are not much different in size.

Alan.

If you've given yourself a budget of £30k I'd be tempted to import one from the States, even with the shipping and taxes surely you'd be more likely to get a better car for your $

:punk: rear seats & boot - figures for me. Will probably get el cheapo golf too or something to park on the street and cart rubbish round in

Eleanor would be the winner, but no idea where to source or what they cost?

youd get a smart RS6 avant for that money...

Why , when you say you want a muscle car ??:walkman:

Yeah I didn't really mean Eleanor, but I think the old mustangs are a good size but not too big like the plymouth superbirds and such like. An all time classic - the GT350RS would be my choice, but I'm guessing they're worth mega bucks now?
