I had a quick look under the bonnet 2day and noticed that one of the pipes from heater matrix was disconnected but no water geting out of that pipe..... how is that possible ? car runs ok with no overheating problems and there`s enough water in the radiator

sounds like the matrix has been bypassed perhaps it was leaking!

if its been bypassed the two pipes from the back of the engine will be looped together so nothing running into the matrix!

Look at the pipes on the block you will find ones linked to the other bypassing the heater matrix completely
