my slipping clutch

Hey folks,

 

My clutch is slipping so I'm gonna get a new one. The thing is, it stops slipping when I've been on the road a while 20+ miles. Would this just be down to the plates warming up and therefore gripping a bit better?

    You may have a tiny bit of air in the system which expands when it gets hot, or the system may just need bleeding with nice new fluid, or the clutch may grip a little better when it gets warm and expands a bit.

     

    I'd start with new fluid - that'll be much cheaper than a new clutch, and if you can't remember when it was last done then it probably needs doing now anyway.
