this evening i went for a little drive in the Zed down the road to the new Hindhead tunnel which opened fully yesterday

 

I worked on the traffic surveys and driving time tests for the project about 20 years ago, so was interested to see what they have built

 

1.25 miles of dual carrigeway, national speed limit tunnel :clap: :thumbup:

 

now seeing as there was only light traffic i felt obliged to try it out in both directions a couple of times, from the noise from in front of me it apeared that some other like minded individuals were also interested in the accoustic properties of the new tunnel. :clap:

Gotta love tunnels!
