well here goes.

sounded a little tappetey today not loud but definatly making some noise.

tonight i lift bonnet grab throttle cable and listen,at about 2000 rpm v.loud noise sounds like there is somthing loose internally. runs v.smooth from 3000rpm upwards.

then i remove the oil filler cap, big hiss for a few seconds then revs drop to about 600rpm. now i have never had that in there before. i then replace cap and revs rise to 850rpm.

what do you think. any one else had this?

Get that checked out. You still runing that ecu that was dodgy lack?

 

The tappet noise thing sounds not so good, i had a situation where i had what sounded like tappet noise, turned out to be broken big end bearings

 

And it was funny because i got this wierd noise at 3000rpm that came and went.

 

 

fresh look this morning. no noise what so ever, but the oil filler cap is under high vacum take cap off and it is under quite a bit of suction.

i am going to be removing the breather kit this weekend to see if that is the problem.

i will let you know results.

check oil presure, sounds aso pressure is bulding up somewhere. be cairfull because thid can cause oil starvation around the engine( could account for the tapping noise!)

also check the oil breather pipe too?

it is under vacum not pressure as i first thought, im putting standard breather on today will let you know honest opinion later.

 

wheels will be sold as soon as i have me 19 inch tyres.
