Don't know about a pin phone but when I was a lad my sisters were running up huge bills phoning their boyfriends and mates. My dad got fed up with it and got a payphone so they had to put 10p in for about 5mins (this was in the '80's). The phone came with a key so it could be changed to free calls.

Maybe something like that would help?

theres a few things like that, but she dosent want things like that in the ohuse really that stop it being so homely :-( i guess i can see her point, she would have to use the same phone you see. im sure someone must make a phone with a pin lock

phone BT (or whoever) they can do a call barring service where you have to enter a code or something to make calls, my mum used to have this years and years ago to stop me running up huge bills :) she works for BT.

easy soloution would be to get a cordless phone and keep it with her at all times :)

Only problem is another handset could log on to the base station. Most base stations can handle four handsets

Best bet would be to reroute phone into her personal accomodation
