Jap import history!!!!!!!!!!

Since buying my long awaited 300zxtt last week, my brother wants one! he is interested in a local jap import (from local jap import dealer)but is worried about past history!

any body know if a H.P.I type report is availible on these cars.

You can get a mechanical inspection from the RAC etc.

A UK HPI report will likely show nothing at all unless the car has already been used in the UK

You can get a checkup from www.usaveauto.com and they will confirm whether the chassis number etc is appropriate for the car you actually have.

I did hear about an insurance company (I think) that would check to see whether the car is on the stolen list in Japan, can't remember the details now though.

We were lucky enough to get the full japanese service history with the car - doesn't mean a great deal to us as it's in Japanese!!!
