How much would it cost me to get a lamp post moved about 2 meters?

As it is just on my drive way and my mum like to drive into it...

Oh and who do I ask??

I would get in touch with the council and show them pics of how the lamp post impedes your drive way. The only problem with getting a free result is that the lamp post has probably been there for many years without issue.

u could always get someone ( preferably not in their zx) :tongue_smilie: to back into it and then phone the council and tell them some polish wagon just backed into the lampost and drove off

The lamp posted was move about a year ago form the road side to the back of the pavment. Never bothered me but my wife and mum keep going on about it.

Also was never told that they would move it, Just came home from work and it was moved.

I would say you have more of a case with the council then, if it was moved without informing you. It seems the lazy gits chased the channel for the power supply in a straight line from the edge of the path to save work.

the council do not have to inform you of Puplic highways Lights/parking meters/signs

i had this problem all ready with a Parking meter that was infront of my Shop covering my window facia and shutter ...

the only resolvment we could come to was it gets removed when i need to work on my shop front

i would try and get them to move it as it was put there not so long ago ..
