Just wanted to have a bit of a vent after a recent encounter with some arrogant p**ck on ebay who thought he was being clever

In a nut shell, I've been looking for an ex military RIB (boat) to use as part of a new business venture and I found one for sale on ebay up for £10,000.

Now £10,000 is quite steep for what is effectively a 20+ year old boat that looks slightly worse for wear, though not a ludicrously high price as there's always scope for barter

anyway, I asked a few questions and was waiting on some more detailed pics, in the meantime the listing ended and unfortunately had recieved no pics

I carried on searching and recently noticed that the RIB had been relisted but the price has now been increased to £12,000, which of course the seller is entitled to do, but I was curious as to what work had been carried out since it was last listed just two weeks ago to justify the extra £2,000 addition to the price tag (I was thinking that maybe it had recieved an engine overhaul or minor repair etc)

I politely enquired and the come back was basically as follows:

"YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT LAST WEEK , AS THIS IS THE NEW PRICE , AND IN MY OPION STILL UNDERVALUED , REGARDS"

To be fair, that is one hell of a way to go about pissing off a genuine cash buyer and losing a sale

Why are some people such K**b heads these days?

Never mind that, back to the boat..i think he should buy this one instead....

Nah, I want something with a bit of power.................

I know what you mean, its the listings like that, that i tend to avoid, also the stupid ones that start with L@@K?

Then theres that stupid saying "first to see will buy" like you dont have a choice in the matter? or when they type in excessive LARGE FONT IN BOLD AND CAPS, like you cant see the text on the screen.

Aaarrggghhh!

I love the l@@K one, do the retards not know they are saying "Latatk".

ha murt! in response to the south coast livers.... grrr. you think its bad coming down for a weekwnd and dealing with their crap, you wanna try living here. then you start to realise, some things firstly none of them are from here, secondly none of them actually live here full time, and thirdly they are all idoits! the more money the less common sense and the ruder they seem to become. its a lovely place to live down here in the winter when no holiday making holiday home owning puff puff dickheads are about. soon as it gets to about this time of year we dont dont bother going out and about cos you cant get anywhere. we cant afford a house because they are all owned by rich london commuters and second home owners. :( i work for these people alot doing their pools some are fine, most are awful. its just it takes some of them longer to throw their toys out the pram than others. wouldnt be so bad if they actually brought some work and money with them instead of just driving the prices up and meaning theres no real work round here. i love where i live and grew up i just cant stand the 10% of people who make it seriously annoying!
