Old or new shape bud?

Wanting the 1999 sort of model, prefer newer (2004 facelift?) but dont think funds will make a new shape, not unless its done silly miles...

Would love your bmw, but unfortunately about 5 grand short :)

ye I was looking at A3's a while back and the price and miles just shoots up for the facelift but at the same time I couldn't live with the pre. have you considered a bmw 320td compact? Good cars for their money and really frugal! the one I had easily aveaged 50+ especially after the remap.

 

Its a a uyers market too and considering theyre not the most popular theres the potential for a steal. Granted they are foul in some colours but quite tidy in either black or silver i think

yea, the large grille 2005 models are real nice.

Im trying so hard to like the 320td compact but the front lights are just pig ugly :(

rest of car aint too bad.

 

All depends on sale of my zed I spose.

ye they're in little demand for a reason I suppose, it was the back that let it down for me, too much like an astra g.

 

theres a lot of good diesel stuff for that money, I'd be looking around 5k and expect to be able to haggle 1k off personally which gives you a lot of scope. probably not what you'd associate with a frugal and reliable run about diesel but what about a alfa gt coupe? again not in demand

 

whatever you get i don't envy it been in place of the zed :(

BM 330D's are fantastic engines and pull really well :)

yea, thought of Alfa's and bmw 330's, pretty much been through all cars but for some reason just like the a3.

had a E46 320d before which was a fantastic car, spose depends on what comes up at the right price now...
