Superbike racing

Just had a bit of a scrap with about 8 superbikes down the A30 between the M25 and the Crooked Billit roundabout, i got my arse kicked as i knew i would, but i think my little baby gave them a bit of a shock! I have no idea how fast i was going as i couldn't take my eyes off the road, well over a ton though. I got a couple of nods of approval from them as we pulled up at the lights which was nice.

Man i'm still buzzing now! God i love my Zed.

Whoops! I've just realised i posted on the wrong forum, sorry! I am new to all this after all.

Is that that awful Crooked Billet on the horribly complicated roundabout (London straight ahead, Colnbrook to the left and Staines to the right with Kingston sort of over there somewhere?) Nice bit of dual carriageway there ain't it?

Anyhow three points:

1) Of course you weren't racing were you 'cos Mr Plod has giddy fits about people admitting that.

2) Technically this may be the wrong forum but if u and I are discussing which the right forum is (technically speaking), does that make it a technical post after all?

3) You're right. God I love my Zed too. biggrin.gif

I did that the other day too.

Had this guy trying to get past coming off a roundabout.

I came off in the right lane to block him so I could get in a straight line before letting him past.

Pulled over into left lane and heard him floor it past so I stomped on the gas and kept with him for a good quarter mile when he looked back he did a double take seeing me a foot from his arse!

He couldn't believe I was still there so he flattened himself to the bike and screwed the nuts off it. He looked so stupid and still didn't get away! My passenger was pissing himself ROFL

We both gave up at about 120 coming to the end of the dual carriageway but he shot past some other traffic to spare his embarrasment.

You need a good bike to get away from 400+ bhp.

Never get races off cars anymore as they can all tell they will get wupped but bikes seem to like to have a go. On paper these big bikes have impressive 0 - 60's but how many riders dare use all that power without coming off the back? Not many of the ones I have raced have.

Can't say I have had one beat me by much at all.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves ;->

I used to be that biker, used to take great delight in pissing off drivers of expensive sports cars. I still reckon most modern sports bikes of more than 400cc could easily beat a standard Z32 to 100mph and most modded ones too.

Going fast on a bike is not much fun unless you have a death wish, accelerating hard however, is almost a religious experience.

If you see an R1 Yamaha (the one with two wide apart headlights), forget it, they'll do 0-100 and back to 0 before you can do 0-60, save your blushes.

My 1/2p's worth
