Going into 5th gear

Hi folks,

 

When I'm doing over about 60mph and go to stick her in 5th she ain't happy about it! This gets worse the faster I am driving.

 

If I move the gearstick slowly then it's OK but if not it makes that grindy crunch noise.

 

It's not the end of the world or anything, just wondering what it might be...

    Either your clutch needs adjusing or your syncromesh is going in your gear box. There was a problem with it going from 5th to 4th.

    It's also possible that the gearbox is a bit low on oil. I just bout £60 worth of Redline MT-90 and it does make a slight difference - otherwise it's probably gearbox rebuild time ....
