The Lightsd waning light came on in my car, checked the bulbs, looked OK, so to be sure I swapped them out but nothing from all 4 lights (rear lights come on OK).

Searched the forum and the little black box that checks for bulb failure may be the problem, but have a couple of questions:

a) I have an LED eye level brake light on my spoiler, some of the LEDs have blown but 5-6 still come on when the brake pedel is pressed. If the box has failed would these not work as well?

b) Were is this box, on the drivers side ? and can I get to it from the inspection panel at the back of the lights or do I have to take the boot trim off ?

c) If it is this box, does anyone have one ? This is my daily ride so need to sort quickly for work on Tuesday.

Thanks

Do you still have the rest of your lights working? if so check your fuse under the bonnet

The little control box is behind the drivers light panel on a slotted holder in the plastic of the curved piece, you will need to take the centre inner panel off then the screws to remove the panel.

If the box is not on its holder and is in the boot well, then its possible you could have got water in the unit and buggered the circuit board. Anyone breaking a car will have one and they are all the same regardless of model.

Thanks Graham.

The other lights appear to be OK and the warning light only comes on when I press the brake pedal. I also checked the fuse and when I took it out the boot lid brake light went out.

I will pull the panels off tomorrow and see if I can find the box.

Does anyone have a spare I could purchase?

Found the box, unplugged and plugged it back in and all works again.

Little worrying that it can take out all the brake lights so will be looking for a spare.

Thanks again Graham (saved a load of grief on a bank holiday from the wife and kids )
