seem to be having trouble getting hold of a pallet to transport a gearbox conversion. anyone know where they do pallet hire for personal use and not business use?

Have a drive around and look for some building work being done nearby. Ask if you can have a pallett. Some are on return/refund but most aren't. You'll be doing them a favour as they'll have to burn/skip it anyhow. Hth.

On the roof silly - you really must think things through :lol:

lots of places have pallets lay around. try any wholesaler,supermarket, building site they would all be happy just to give you one for free

Hire a trailer :)

In our yard there must be 100 pallets piled up. Pop over to lincoln and you can have one :lol:
