I wouldnt pay 10p for one but if you like that thing you have to pay the going rate I guess. Still not as bad as ford stuff which is basically junk these days, people get nostalgic and lose all sense of rational. At least with the zed you get decent performance and looks for your outlay.

im not keen either, i just thought it was stupid steep, thought i might have missed something

no mate, it's the person that buys that that's missing something

I'll admit it, I absolutely hate the manta always have always will :death:.

OI !!!:tt2:

I would not pay £10 for that!!

But I did like the Manta - I had a 2.0 Berlinetta way back when I was 18 and loved it to bits....

Now if that had been a very tidy, stock GT/E coupe it may be worth a bit more - although certainly not £10k.....

Richard:wacko:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Looks like his "0" key got stuck down... of the road for 15 years, scrap value at best? Even the petrol in it will be goosed!

i'd say its worth a fair amount restored with that work done but i'd like to think his zero key malfunctioned for a split second!!

i certainly would not pay anywhere near 10k for it

I'd sooner have a Monza. GSe

old school cool

My dad used to have a white manta GTE in the 90's used to take the piss out of him the boot leaked that much we called it a goldfish bowl and it ended up growing mushrooms out the boot carpet

tbh i hated the manta till my mate took me out in his rover V8 powered one, completly changed my opinion on them..... untill on the way to rallyday inb the rain it went into the back of one of the ADL celicas... hahah

Rover v8 would be ace in a manta!!

That,s where Mantav8 got his name and it was a nice bit of kit :punk::punk:

i love old school stuff like this, i know where there is a mk2 cavalier cabby going very cheap, i fancied it myself

I was quite keen on them as well , this is the 4th one i had , it was a write off when bought it:thumbup1:

yep the manta was a nice motor but same Al i relly like the mk2 cav and have debated searching for one many times :/

I'm in the 2.8i Capri camp I'm afraid, hated Mantas with a passion, not because I ever drove one, or because I knew they were crap, because I was a Ford fanbois and loved the Capri :D

i did love the capri to and most classic fords i had a 1.6 laser for a while and converted it to a 2.0 but then a 17yr old who had not long passed his test ended up with it and rolled it!!! :(
