Have to say its a bit ugly too but damn that interior is nice, porka 2 nil so far then I can't think of any other cabriolet I like,

I have seen a gorgeous bumper for the Porsche by fiberwerks it looks a little like the new gt2 front bumper but with the old lights will have to post up pics

If its a car you only drive at the weekend or so, the 911.

If you use it all teh time, the 645i.

I like them both. My favorite car is probably the lastest 911. But if you drive it all the time, its not special. The BMW is a lovely car and you could drive it daily.

I'd have both!

911 WITHOUT question. Surprised this question needs answering. The 6 series is fugly...and it's just a 6 series.

Love the 6 series, old and new, the new 6 is very similar to the zed IMO, a few mods can make a world of difference to the dull stock looks, IMO!!!

Porkers are nice and growing on me recently but gonna cost a fortune to repair and service

As above thinking of either of these two models in cabriolet version

any thought or opinions? i did like the sl55 amg merc but they have no back seats

have seen these two for sale

the porsche is now sold but there is a very similar one next to me

SL is one of my all time favourites but alas no rear seats.

The Porsche for me; it's a real sports car...not a 2 door version of a 5-series.

I have noticed that anything for the poker is soooo expensive its just the name so people charge supercar prices just like the zed, I do like the poker but find the interior a bit bland where the interior of the beemer shines through, ok the beemer looks a bit odd I do admit with the upside-down headlights, the beemer is cheaper and its quite a stretch for the porker as I need the 3.6 engine because the 3.4 has reliability issues

I agree with Jim....

.....911 is a superb driver's car but for practicality every day I'd have to say the BMW.

Richard:biggrin:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I've driven both and have a 996 facelift coupe, which is basically what's in your link. The face lift has the 3.6 engine and much nicer to drive and more torque than the 3.4 cars. Personally I'm not a huge convertible fan, if it was me I would look for a nice 996 4s, you get the beautiful turbo body and 4 wheel drive. Specs vary quite a bit on the 996 too and make a huge difference to value. Only thing I would say about the Porsche is, its not the most comfortable car on a long journey I find, and it feels very tight knit inside, also the interior is not the most beautiful, but I guess some dont like the ZX interior lol

ive driven my mates M6 and had a drive of a colleagues carrera 4s vert ...the M6 was simply awsome and made the porsche feel like a vw beetle....the 645i is not an M6 by a long way but dont discount it as not a drivers car it very much is as much as the porsche , its much more comfortable , is much rarer on the road has two practicle rear seats not 2 squabs for legless midgets ( and i dont mean drunk legless) for me its the BMW 100%

You can also get a 4s Convertible!

And the price tag that comes with it too :crying:

really nice though with the wide rear stance,

the m6 looks awsome those wheels are very stunning on the beemer i must say how can choosing be so hard,

an awsome jaw dropping convertible that snaps knicker elastic for under 20k is what im after

beemer 645

porsche 911

sl55 amg could sacrifice the rear seats :2guns:
