Its a newer 2002 one, and my daily drive is a new bmw 5 series so there quite similar in respect of insuring with no claims discount

spoke to my mum yesterday hopefully she has some no claims so i could insure it in her name and be a named driver :)

Does she not need the no claims for her own car? If she doesn't currently own a car then no claims bonus only last two years before you lose it.

Also if the insurance company get wise to it being your vehicle with you as the main user, but insured under your mother they can potentially void the insurance. They might look at things like if the car isn't registered at her address etc.

If your going to do that make sure the cars registered in her name and address or it would be too obvious that your the actual owner.

Admiral do multicar insurance, I'm sure plenty of others will - or may be worth trying a broker?
