I'm all set to pick my first Z up on Tuesday if all goes well, so expect me to be a regular from then on. Hopefully with not too many problems. It's a black '91 TT and i can't wait to get it. It's quite a big jump from a 106 Rallye to a Z so it should be gooood. I don't many people here really, I've met Tooley and Johnny a couple of times, (200plus meetings) but thats it. I'll report back on Tuesday to let you all know how it goes.

P.S. Am I the youngest person to own a Z here, as I'm only 20.

Rob, there's a thread lurking around from a while back where the horrible truth of everyone's age comes out... I think the average old codger here is aged 31, but you've probably lowered that by a year or two now =)

Congratz Rob!!

Get ready to strap yourself in and "ENJOY THE RIDE". ( T Bar off of course )

Have Fun

Nice one Rob,

Let us know how much your insurance is, should be a laugh. But I always say bolloxs to insurance, if the car constantly puts a grin on yer face then you're happy eh?

Plus the added bonus that most people your age are driving round in Champagne Vauxhall Novas or Orion Ghia 1.6injections etc. You get the idea...welcome to the pleaZure dome!!!

Hi,

Take your time to acclimatise to driving a powerful rear drive TT Z...as you don't want to wrap it round the first lamp post you come to!

Hi all. My insurance is going to be about £1200 TPFT. or £2500 fully comp. So sod it I'm going TPFT. If I crash I'll have to foot the bill, but i can't afford £2500 for insurance. Andy, I live in Leyland. Why? Where about are you?

Rob,

Congratulations - we're all jealous of you having a Z so young (well, I know I am).

I'm going to sound patronising now and I apologise - not meant that way. As mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, PLEASE take your time. You may be infinitely more sensible than I was at 20 in which case you're fine. At 20 I held a race licence but still managed to roll a car on the road because I was a prat and thought I was the best driver in the world. As I say, you may be fine - but I'd have killed myself in a Z!

Enjoy it !

Dave

Rob,

I live in Croston - You are EVEN CLOSER than I thought!!!!! Send me an email!

Andy

Rob,

Welcome, good luck and take care!

Good time of year to get a Z ie dryish roads!

I'm 35 got mine in November and scared the bee jezusuzz out me to start with.

To reiterate the other guys sentiments, get used to it, crank it up SLOWLY!

I was a bike freak at your age, scares me to think about it now ... (hell! sound like one of the old gits! ...)

Best auto purchase I've ever made screw fuel, screw insurance. just enjoy.
