Ask the estate agent to stay late so you can pick up later. They have earnt enough from the sale to do that for you ;)

I have discovered that the drive isnt quite as wide as I thought it was, when reversing my astra van down.. hmm one bush needs to go at least! A stupid 12" high wall in the middle of mine and next doors drives wants fetching down as well!

Thanks mate, its taken some doing i'll give you that. I'm sure when the state of mortgages improves you'll get something sorted, alot of places offering an extra 5% on the deposit through the vendor, sounds quite good!

Ha! its a bit small actually, and a bit full of crap atm. But we can soon knock it down and build a bigger one!

I'm a bit unsure if the old girl will even fit down before this wall is gone! Zed might struggle as well... Oh he didnt!

WooHoo!-great news mate!

I'm still waiting for news:phone: (we got 5% gifted deposit as well, good idea)

Are you sure you're a first time buyer? Round here that would set you back about 270k. Presuming it's a 3 bed?

Well done you, i'm jealous but not envious. Good luck to you buddy.

nice one Chris ....if you need a hand with anything in the house when im back , lifting and moving stuff or knocking stuff about etc just give me a call im usualy at a loose end on a day time

Ah! Takes forever doesnt it to get anywhere with a purchase, it took me 2 months despite me being a FTB with everything ready before the offer was accepted, and the house being an inherritance it should have flown through! I didnt actually go for the 5% deposit as it wasnt available, it is a good idea though but im not entirely sure how it works!

Lol yes very sure, it is 3 bed however prices are not as strong up here. Its in bare, which is a village thats been enveloped by morecambe as its expanded, generally regarded as a nice place to live. However I'm moving from a big house in the middle of nowhere which is near a small village so its going to be a bit of a culture shock, it was up for 175k and I got it for 160. However at 175 it was "realistically priced" Considering its condition (lovely really, just 30 years out of date) as it needs cosmetic updating etc. Similar houses on the same road when they are "modern" go for around the 200k mark.
