right how to explain this one jimmer suggested lower steering knuckle seized as car been stood for the winter so not totally ruling that out just yet but after other ideas/input so when the car is staionary i can turn the steering lock to lock with no issues or tight spots all the problems i am getting is when the car is moving, when turning a corner the steering does not come back to centre i have to manually do that, now heres the strange bit steering feels tight/heavy sometimes when steering left, sometimes when right never both at the same time and the speedo reads correctly, also getting a feeling off oversteer on sharper corners it like i steer in and have to put a little more lock on and it goes just to far, have had tracking checked today and they say its so little out it wont cause the problems i'm getting, did have a thought steering rack bushes maybe? would there be any other symptoms if it was rack bushes? just looking for your suggestions guys thanks in advance for any help/thoughts on this

Check the lower arm ball joints lift the wheels off the gorund when doing this or the weight of the car will give a false check. Sounds similar to a zed we dealt with, no self centering of the steering wheel after turning and sometimes half way through the bend you had to back off the steering as it was turning in too much especially when coming off islands etc.

The lower bush was so worn that the track was chaning when cornering and effecting both the level of steering input and the self centering was a real weird feeling, the other problem is having the tracking checked statically will not reveal the issue as the lower bush is not under corning load.
