Broken suspension surprise!

A new owner wanted a check over and depite a nice zed with a few choice parts it did throw up one odd fault, as shown in the pictures below the front anti roll bar bracket had fractured and released the bar fixings completely where it attached to the chassis rail on the drivers side.

 

Not really a heart stopping moment but could make cornering slightly unpredictable, with more body roll than expected.

 

The bar was removed and replaced as it seems to be bent out of shape at that end which points at the bracket having been broken for some time, maybe even the previous owner did not realise, DIY inspection is a real problem with these cars due to poor access without a ramp so getting a good look under at least once a year should be part of your service maintenance.
