Julia took the Rav for an MOT today and unfortunately it failed on one tyre having a deep cut on the inside wall.

Bloody bad luck as it would be a decent tyre, and not the one that will need replacing very soon......

....anyway I thought I'd swap it for the spare, just for the MOT, and buy a new one over the weekend. However the damn OEM jack does not extend high enough to get the fooking wheel off the ground:huh:

Luckily I found out now, rather than in the event she gets a puncture at some stage.......

Richard:angry:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I've still got my hi-lift farm jack left over from my off roading days over winter, that'll lift it 3ft off the floor with a few pumps lol

Hi Baz - yes, completely stock!

And to piss me off even more.....

.....I went inside after 2 attempts (and it had started to rain BTW) only to find the whole village was suffering from a blasted power cut:thumbdown:

So I had to cook (gas - fortunately) by candlelight.

It's come back on now though - otherwise I wouldn't be here 'coz the router would not work LOL:tt2:

I reckon I'll just pop into the garage again tomorrow and ask them to swap the spare over, then do the free re-test!
