My garage has got the gearbox in a few pieces(!!) to recondition it. The Nissan dealers are denying any knowledge of 300zx parts which presents a bit of a problem...

Anyone got a sensible source of gearbox parts - preferably OEM but otherwise aftermarket would be fine. I've found Drivetrain.com in the US who seem to offer a full rebuild kit are there any others in the UK (or even the US)?

Car is a '91 J spec TT 2+2 .

Many thanks.

FWIW I have ended up with help from Mike Feeney from MJP who appears to be able to lay hands on most things!

The listing of bits and pieces looks like it is going to add up to about ยฃ475 plus the vat. This is synchros bearing and shift springs, no major internal parts, mainly as I opened it up whilst just slightly noisy rather than very noisy or baulking etc.

Syncro's are the weak point. The rest of the box is very strong, able to handle big power.

Its a lot of money for relatively minor parts but when you consider quotes from gearbox specialists come out at about 1200-1500 for the same work, its not too bad.
