Any mountain bikers on here? just bought a downhill bike, what do ya think?

I paid 600 quid, its in good nick and was bought and used by a semi pro rider so it should be well maintained and set up correctly,

I rekon thats a bargain considering i remember drooling over this frame in a bike mag wen i was a teenager (6 years ago) and i remember it was priced uo for 2200 quid, yes thats frame only!! lol

hopefully i should get some good use out of it this summer! and get that winter flab gone!

when i lived in aviemore a couple of the guys i workd with were into it?(so much so the dug a dirt track in the woods out my back door..anyhoo im sure the guy bruce(one of them)had that exact same frame he changed the wheels and gears though but it can take alot of punishment

Mmm, that looks heavy!

Nice forks and good spec though. You'll enjoy the downhills, not

sure about the uphills though..

I guess i may bump into you at Afan or Cwm Carn then!

A group of us going to wales for 4 days begining of july, based

near brechfa forest, which apparantly is quite good...:cool3:

Pretty old skool! Nice though.

I've got a Demo 9 sitting in the garage that doesn't get used enough :-(

I think I would have bought one that goes uphill as well :winkiss:

haha, bike is too heavy for that shit and im too fat! lol

and thats the exact reason why the seat is worn/ripped, its where its been hooked on by the cable kart taking it up the hill!!

Pretty old skool! Nice though.

It aint got no mudguards, you've got to have mudguards to keep the shite out yer arris.Seat looks like its had severe use as an anal prob and wheres the Noz ?Looks a good buy-cycle though. :cool3:

That is definatly old school!

Did both Afan or Cwm Carn last year on a few hundred pound hard tail!

Not bad for a 22st bloke :)

Must loose more weight and upgrade my bike before I attempt them again

sweet. fancy a swap!! :whistling:

:D

Mine weighs 50lbs+, I've never found the weight to be an issue to be honest (apart from when pushing back up...). If anything it helps keep it stable + I reckon you have more momentum over jumps which helps.

Luckily being in Buckinghamshire, the highest hill I ever have to push back up is about as high as my knee

Went to Cwmcarn once, stupidly managed to pick the one day the uplift wasn't running...

Yep, have been to Nant-yr-Arian, some good riding round there, lovely

views, proper wilderness stuff.

We were based in Dolgellau.

I'd imagine Coed y Brenin is'nt too far from you, that is well worth a visit,
