300zx vs 3000gt

Hey guys,

I am curious even though i prefer the look and style of a 300, i was wondering what you guys think about the 3000gt. I mean head on head which one would win. Spec wise 3000's got 4 wheel drive and the aero system, sounds like it would be a lot faster and able to put all that power onto the road?

If you had a choice would you get a 3000gt twin turbo??

Also how does it compare in part prices etc?

NOw that bit i have to disagree with, i think that the interior of the zed is much nicer - just a shame bout the tweed!

shame about the massive rip in your leather seat, Pabsy. I'd rather have the tweed than wires up my RRRR's hahahahahaha. :tt2:

ooh and I believe Richard says it all. Wise words.

gto's more manuals about if your looking to buy, i reckon if i couldnt have a 300zx i would buy an m3, if i had to stick with jap id buy a supra but i prob wouldnt have enough cash for a manual twin turbo targa top one so id buy an rx7 which after a twinkle is quicker than a 300. the reason i have a 300zx is it was for sale and i had the money and my only regret was taking it of the road to do up as its taken ages trying to get it back on

my friend has a GTO and it does have some good plus points the main 1 is the location of the turbo charges you can easily get at them unlike ours and the interior is very smart but on the negative his is waiting for its 3rd gearbox it chews them up like nobodies business it is 500hp so may have something to do with it

had my GTO 5 years now.

been running over 450BHP since major forged engine rebuild, last year same transmission except clutch will be over 500 soon.

never broke down once, driven hard daily.

when standard was as quick as my zed, infact UK spec GTO'S have slightly biggers turbos Jap spec dont.

4 wheel drive helps alot, depends what kind of driver you are. off the lights no doubt if you get a good launch your sorted, in the wet, .ardly any snaking IF your running standard power.

for some ass out action z obviously wins

interior ill give it to the z

really depends what kinda driver you are, go test out both and see which one you feel most suited too.

for me both the Z and the GTO were very reliable as daily drivers.
