March 30, 200224 yr Yes it is. Raise the car using a jack and the quickest way to drain coolant is to disconnect the bottom radiator hose. Make sure you've got a big bucket/containter to catch it though or you'll get very wet feet Danny
March 30, 200224 yr For quickness, Danny's right in disconnecting the lower hose from the rad. I was being lazy and undid the radiater drain cock (which can be found on the driver's side at the botoom of the rad). It's slower but you just need to use your fingers to undo the tap. With my new kit on, I haven't found out how I am gonna jack the car up yet. Checked my motor up at the Easter Meet, car had a 2.5 hour run up there. Coolant looking like coolant rather than runny mayo. Looks like Job Done . ------------------ crazyeddie.co.uk brave-orchid.co.uk [This message has been edited by crazy_eddie (edited 30-03-2002).]
March 31, 200224 yr Eddie, drive the car onto a 1 inch high block of wood and you can then get the stock Nissan jack under the frame rail, a couple of turns on the OEM jack and you will be able to get a trolley under - jack it up with the trolley on the cross member and chuck under a couple of axle stands... Is it possible to drain the coolant without getting her up onto a ramp.
