How long do these normally last? According to my records mine were changed less than 40k miles ago. One side feels like it has a little play on the inner bush. I dont suppose you can muller in new poly bushes here also?

A little play is permitted, there is a service bulletin from Nissan. It actually refers to the Primera, but their suspension is based on the same design as the Z32.

Unfortunately, I don't have my scans of the documents with me right now.

  • 3 weeks later...

I got a ministry of transport deviation to MOT regulations with mine.

It says "The maximum free play when measured at the upper link outer pivot bolt is 6.4mm"

It seems to indicate that the play is in line with the bolt through the centre of the bush.

If you have trouble at MOT it is referenced 'Special Notice 5/93'

The Nissan Service bulletin is on my site under Tech/Front Suspension.

Thanks a lot for that. One less item on my bug list. Just the front discs to fix now. Had them slimmed and now worse than ever. New ones on the cards.
