I have a 2+2 twin turbo on a g reg and it failed the mot on play in the rear steering rack is this common and if so any ideas on what it could be without replacing the whole thing?? any help would be extermley helpful as this is my first 300 and am still learning!!!

The rear steering wear is usually caused by the hicas arms, these are service replacement parts, there are also two outer hub bushes that the hicas arms connect to and these can wear too.

 

The hicas arms are the easier option to change on a DIY basis, the outer hub bushes if required are a little harder and you may prefer to leave them to a garage or mate with a ramp, either way not the end of the world.
