Hi,

I have two problems if any one could give me some advice would be brill.

First one, is the oil pressure gauge has been working fine, but now is slow and on idle only goes up to about 40psi will go up when revved but only half way up, dont want to **** the engine by driving it:-( engine sounds fine and no noise when revved ect any way of checking the gauge might have give up but Iam quite new to zeds lol.

Second one, is some times the revs will go up to just under 2k and when this happens you get a little white smoke out the back not loads, the revs will come back down its like something is sticking open.

any help would be great.

1) oil pressure sender fault, easy to change but expensive from Nissan

2) sticking auxillary air valve, bad connection or bad setting on tps not returning to hard idle.

ok let the oil cool down for a few hours, started it and the oil gauge went up to normal reading around half on idle, so hope it is a faulty oil sendor jeff, must of been because oil was warm for some reason.

Its a common issue, the oil presure sender wears out inside on the resister track where it sits the majority of the time, this causes a high resistance connection and hence the gauge drops.
