I bought ZXTT front bumper , i knew it needed a few repairs so i,ve been doing that at work , in my own time of course :whistling:, got the first lot of primer on it and brought it home to sort out the fitment , as with all fibreglass bumper it would need a bit of fettling .

It fitted quite well on the O/S but the N/S needed a bit of attention .

I sanded any material back that was stopping it sitting neatly ,

But the gap still wasn,t how i wanted it so i used a trick i,ve used in the past , prep the edge of the bumper to accept filler , mask the wing with packing tape now bolt the bumper in place , now you can fill right over onto the wing the get the level right, when the filler just starts going off run a sharp knife down the joint line , when it,s gone off sand it down till it,s nearly there , unbolt the bumper remove tape bolt it back up and finish sanding till your happy with the shape and gap.

how did you fasten the bumper?

It,s bolted same as the original one to the wings but it had never had the main mounting bar fitted so i did that but it needed a few mods.

The alloy mounting bar is a box section but wouldn,t sit right under the top edge of the bumper cos of the thickness of the fibreglass so i trimmed the top of it off to give me clearance , marked up the holes drilled and bolted it up then trial fitted the nose panel cos that also uses this for fitment and it fits a treat .
