im currently making my loft into a walk in wardrobe question is though can i insulate the roof with normal glass wool insulation or does it need to be the foil stuff?

You can do it with normal insulation but kingspan is better but itsvery expensive, if its not gonna be a bedroom i woukd try and double the fibregkass stuff up

Kingspan is great but thick and expensive as Stellaz mentioned, another product is tri-iso super 10, again expensive but a lot thinner, we use this along with kingspan when converting lofts, you get what you pay for with insulation.

Are you insulating the floor or the rafters?? or both???

just rafters already got glass wool on the floor doesnt glass wool on the roof cause condensation issues?

Can do, especially if you haven't got a breathable felt. I'd personally use rigid kingspan/celotex between the rafters, underdraw it all with 25mm of the same and then use foil backed plasterboard. Money spent now will save you in the long run. Once you've finished and decorated it you really won't want to be redoing it if you do encounter a problem. Just my opinion for what it's worth.
