after having taken the plenum off, came accross this at the back near the bulkhead. any ideas what it is?

    If you mean the bit with the black connector on the back then its the FICD valve - used to increase the revs slightly when aircon is turned on etc...

    This is the air regulator, to increase the revs when the engine is cold.
