What 16gb sdhc card?? advise!

Hi guys, I`m looking for a new sdhc card for my hd camcorder, and I`m looking for suggestions on what card to get! I know all about gb sizes and classes of cards but they vary so much in price, I`m looking at getting a 16gb class 6 card and they range from approx £18-£45 for good brands like, Verbatim, Sandisc, Tdk, Transcend,Fuji ect

I have had 3 cards go kaput on me in the last 2 months and lost data, ahhh, 2 were sandisc and one was a 32gb fake jobbie from e-bay !:crying:

So which brand/type would you reccommend and why?

Nice one Murt, thats a good price too! I have decided on a class 6 if it makes a difference, but might get that one just for my clicky camera

Wow, very cheap those 2!! seem too cheap for some reason? class 10 aswell!! I`m not looking for cheap I want quality, But these are quite good brands

I`m tempted but when it comes to photographing memorys I need to spend more, will these be reliable enough?

Yeh, I was looking at these yesterday!! they look very good and looks like this is the future!!! Go on hols take loads of pics and they are all there waiting at home for you, we could probably even have the prints waiting, lol

The card I need is for my hd camcorder though, not my camera, so I need a good one for reliability, Last year i lost 15gb of holiday footage and then my mate borrowed it a few month ago and lost all of it!! 10 hours of red sea underwater footage and other stuff :shuriken:

How did you lose it then?

You sure it the SD card not the camcorder or your card reader!

Not sure what happened but its deffo the SD cards, the camcorder works fine with decent cards inside, The 2 that went wrong on holiday were Sandisc `micro` sd cards inside the adaptor to make them normal sd size and then the same type of micro card 2 weeks ago inside my phone lost all the photos of christmas!!!ahhhh

I bought a 32gb card from e-bay for £12,lol ,and its fine until it reaches about 6gb and then crashes!!

Hense the reason for wanting a quality one. :flowers:

If used the sandisk micro cards with the adapter and lost data with them. I think it's the adapter that's a bit crap.

Yeh, could be! but the 32gb was a full size and that failed too, but it was a fake so it was inevitable really, I shall see what the new sandisc extreme is like
